Enter His Rest
“But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I [Paul] will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
“Will there be anything unusual or different happen today in your workplace? You do not know right now if circumstances will arise that you did not expect. Maybe there will be decisions to make and fires to smolder.
Paul spoke of contentment because he rested in Me. He knew the enemy’s job was to sidetrack him, but his focus was on the prize of pleasing Me and preparing the hearts around him for the Gospel message. The more he ran to Me, the closer we became.
Was he happy with his life? Yes, he was exceedingly content in every circumstance. He told Me so with his lips, and I saw it in his heart and actions.
Were Paul’s plights like yours? Maybe yes and maybe no. The One similarity is Me. Confidently speak your secret concerns to Me, and you will have your rest today, also.”
