Motivating Others
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, and not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (Colossians 3:23)
“Do you want to motivate those around you? Motivation comes from the inside of a person, but it starts by showing concern over the external needs of those who serve you. Remember the examples of Jesus taking care of the physical needs of those who followed Him.
If I were to give you something today that you really needed, how would I know what you need unless I watched you and had a concern for you.
Caring about and meeting the external needs of those who work with you can satisfy their internal needs and give them motivation. Treat everyone as God’s gem being developed by all that surrounds them. Some things that you say or do can go down in history in the mind of a person who needs what you supply to them in word or deed.
Live for the sake of enhancing the lives of those around you. When you do, those people will respect and serve you in return.”
