My God — My Friend
“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” (John 15:15)
“Are you only acquainted with Me or are you My friend? It really makes a difference. If we are just acquainted with each other, then we don’t have a closeness. We don’t really know each other’s traits, personality, capabilities. We don’t spend much time together. We don’t have a reliance upon each other.
On the other hand, if we are friends, then we enjoy each other. We trust each other. We really have a need for each other. We look forward to conversations and times of being together in person.
How do you engage with Me? However it is, let’s take it higher. However we acquaint ourselves with each other, let’s engage with each other more. Let’s get to know each other more.
I want you to smile when we step into the same room together. I want you to look forward to our times together. Will you be My friend?”
