Boast in the Lord
“Therefore, as it is written: ‘Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.'” (I Corinthians 1:31)
“Stand back and look at your work from a distance. Is there a reason for your position in the workforce? The answer should be ‘yes’. Whether you understand the significance of your position or not, I want you to do something for Me.
1. Get a large sheet of paper.
2. List your 4 major general activities in your job… For example, one activity might be: ‘keep employees and co-workers focused, safe, feeling productive.’
3. After you completed step #1 and step #2, then for each of the 4 major general activities that you listed, write what you can do to make each of these activities better for yourself and for others.
Now do you see your purpose and usefulness for being in this position? It is you who I’ve put into this position for this time. Your concern over your labors exceeds that of many leaders. Enjoy your day, and enjoy who I have made you for this specific day and time in history. You will make a difference today. I know it, because I chose you and know you even better than you know yourself.”
