My Strength or His?
“I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)
“Disheartened, yet trying to walk forward in your own strength. It is not an unusual thought like this that you have. You even ask yourself, ‘Am I walking in my own strength?’
Let’s settle that question with this thought: Never do you walk in your own strength if you have committed your talents, thoughts, energies and aspirations to Me. Realize that you have your overall long range plans and goals. You also have your daily moment by moment projections.
Your life does not have to be as difficult as you think if you allow yourself to be covered by My Peace and Protection. Just talk with Me. Ask your questions as your day progresses. Just take one step and question at a time. For example, at the beginning of your day, you will have no way of knowing that a calamity will come about near the middle of the day. So just take each step and concern as it occurs.
So what is your present concern to Me this moment?”
After the Lord spoke this to me, the words of Billy Graham came to my mind. I remember him saying that ‘worry is paying for a debt before it falls due.’ Interesting words to remember.
